The Asia-Pacific Journal of
Rural Development (APJORD) is published twice
a year, one issue in July and another in
December. Thought provoking articles,
interesting dialogues and healthy debates on
multi-faceted aspects of rural development
arising from changes in the dynamics of the
rural economy and society characterise the
essential contents of the journal.
Academics/Scholars and Doctoral
candidates who are especially interested in
rural development are most welcome to avail
themselves of the opportunity created by the
journal in publishing their research works and
expressing their views and ideas. In the
daunting task of rural poverty alleviation
through people’s participation, a close
interaction between the researchers and
practitioners is of great importance.
Each issue contains Articles
which are usually reports of empirical
studies, review articles, or theoretical
articles; Practitioners’ Papers that
usually cover field experiences and small case
studies with initial findings of scholarly
interest of the planner and practitioner and
the like on various technical, methodological,
functional, technological, pedagogic issues of
fundamental research, field applications and
applied research. Book Reviews also
form a part of the Journal.
All articles are subject to
peer review. Articles between 4000-5000 words
are preferred. They may be submitted on CDs or
Floppy diskette (along with a hard copy)
and/or can be sent by e-mail:
infocom@cirdap.org.
Transcripts should be submitted
in duplicate on A4 size paper, type written on
one side in double space, with margins of at
least two centimetre. Statistical tables,
illustrations and charts should be submitted
on separate sheet and their positions
indicated in the text. APJORD follows the
Chicago Manual of Style for preparing article.
