Meeting of the Drafting Committee of the Dhaka Declaration

Note:

  1. The Session will be chaired by the Chairperson of the Governing Council, (GC-17)
  1. In order to manage the limited time, countries will be invited for their statements based on the alphabetical order.
  2. Each country will have 10 minutes to make the statement. The written statement/ paper will be circulated to all delegates.
  3. The regional organizations/donors are requested to inform, in advance, if they wish to make statements.
  4. Each regional organization/donor will be invited on the basis of the alphabetical order. They will be given 5 minutes each. The written statement/paper will be circulated to all delegates.

Finalization of the Dhaka Declaration

Note:

1.  The Drafting Committee will finalize the draft Dhaka Declaration and circulate to all country delegates for their concurrence in the evening of 27 January 2010.

2.  Based on the comments and suggestions, if any, the Committee will finalize in the morning of 28 January 2010.

3.  The pronouncement of the Dhaka Declaration will be made by the Chairperson of the     GC-17

4.  All Ministers will be present on the dais for signing the Dhaka Declaration, after the pronouncement, while other dignitaries and donors will be present during the declaration.

5. The Press Conference will be chaired by the Chairperson of GC-17, with the Drafting Committee.

6.  Other Ministers, high dignitaries and donors, who wish to make press meeting, interview or talk, can be arranged on request.
